Media Interests
My Media interest’s are very precise and haven’t changed throughout basically my whole life. And that would be film, film has always been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember, I grew up watching loads of films and frequently taking trips to the cinema, for those 90 minutes on more I was transported to another world with crazy characters and unique plot Lines. My career ideas haven’t really changed much ever since I was about 5, for a lot of my life I wanted to be an actor and have to go into many drama schools and performing a lot of plays I decided it wasn’t for me, because if I made it into the creative industry I would have a craving for full control over what I’m taking part in, and crafting my idea from it in print form all the way up to the screen, and the only career that could give me this full control would be a director.
Other interests
My other interests aren’t really fuelled with the same passion that I have the film, but they are important nonetheless. I have always been a keen player of badminton and although I have never really competed any sort of level I would definitely say I’m quite skilled. For 10 years of my life I was in the Scouts, I did work for charity and raise money for the organisation I also went on expeditions and camps in different countries and mingled with international Scout troops from around the world. After my time as a scout I received the chief scout gold award for completing the list of requirements.
My Media Experience
I haven’t had much experience within the creative industry when it comes to on-screen Productions but for a part of my life I was very interested in product design and working with tools and for a brief time I was very keen in a career in set and prop design for Theatre and film, I pursued an opportunity to work in a theatre inside of Performing Arts university in Barons Court making props and sets for upcoming Productions, I did this for a brief time before leaving to look at other things, but this gave me a great sense of time management and taught me the value of effort in which after a long day’s work you can look at what you’ve achieved and be safe in the knowledge that you made substantial progress.
Other work (voluntary)
I have volunteered at a couple of supermarkets bag packing for customers to raise money for the poppy Appeal, I think this was a very valuable experience as I worked very hard for no actual physical reward, but the reward I got instead was knowing that I was a Small Part of the National effort to raise awareness for the poppy Appeal and also raise money.
Cultural backgrounds
My cultural backgrounds are pretty much based in this country, my mother was born in Dublin but was raised in Wales and my father was born in Hammersmith London, but then raised in Wembley. Both my mum and my dad hold their traditions very tightly as all of my family comes from Ireland.
My future aims
My future aims are very simple and straightforward I would like to attend university and work for a bachelor’s degree in film, the stands as a fundamental basic requirement within the industry to show your knowledge of film, with enough work I think I can pass this course as I have always been fanatical about them and all the different styles that are under its wings.
My skills
I’m a very good team player I know how to encourage people to do the best that I can whilst also making sure I can do the best that I can. I’m very good at talking to people and I pride myself on my social skills, I always make sure to make people laugh and keep people happy, I think these are important traits within a team. But also outside of a team I think I can be a very good leader i’m very good at designing roles four different people whilst also apply myself within roles that I see myself most fit for. Putting people in roles that they are most fit for, making sure that people do the best they can.
My Personal Quality’s
I think im a kind person and i always make sure that people feel relaxed, when talking to me. I’m a hard worker and i know what i want in life and am constantly thinking of different routes of how to get to my desired destination.
